2018-2019 Season
Junior Olympic Championships
July 2019: Tonawanda, NY
Bringing home the hardware! PTX had an AWESOME showing at the Junior Olympic Championships in Tonawanda! Starting with the 12 and unders, the team got the opportunity to pre-swim in finals by placing 13th in the nation. Both 12u duets and solos also had best swims! Next up, our 13-15s came in and finaled in both the duet and team events! The 13-15 soloist ended in 15th place, duet in 10th, and team in 12th. Our fun "Girls" 13-15 combo routine had their best swim ever to end up in 9th place (3 members of the combo had never even been to this level of meet before)! Our 16 and up girls brought their best to this meet, and finaled in every event entered! PTX won GOLD in 16-17 duet and 16-17 team, BRONZE in 16-17 solo and 18-19 duet, and 5th place went to our graduating senior in her 18-19 solo! The Jungle combo also earned a SILVER with a best-ever score! It has been a long time since a Pirouette stood atop the podium, and the team and coaches couldn't be prouder of all the hard work and brilliant performances seen at this meet! Great job PTX!!!

South Zone Championships
March 2019: Clearwater, FL
Our Pirouettes had another strong South Zone meet, and came away with BOTH the 13-15 and Overall High Point awards! The meet began with the 13-15 figure competition, and all 11 athletes rocked their figures! This meet was a first for 5 of our 13-15 athletes, and all showed grace and control under the pressure of a big meet. All 11 girls finished in the top 60 of almost 140 competitors, with 4 placing in the top 10. Great job!
The 3 13-15 soloists had beautiful swims, and all finished in the top 12. The 3 13-15 duets also all finished in the top 12 of 26 entries. The 13-15 team won gold in their event with a strong figure average helping to pull out the win. Gold stars! Our juniors and senior also had a great meet with strong free and tech swims. All junior soloists and duets finished in the top 10 of their events, and the junior team of 4 finished in 4th place. In the senior category, all PTX soloists and duets finished in the top 10, with a gold in senior solo from our most senior Pirouette, Alisha. The Jungle combo also won gold, with the highest score of all combo events. Overall, this meet was a very strong start to the season, and we are so proud of defending our Overall High Point title with so many podium finishes and personal bests! Kudos to the 13-15s for also winning high point in their age group! |

US 13-15 & Junior National Championships
April 10-14 Riverside, California
PTX had an incredibly successful Nationals! Starting with the juniors, the solo and 2 duets had strong swims and made substantial improvements from last year's Nationals. The junior combo also improved score and placement, ending in 7th overall with a score of 69.6333!
Our 13-15s also had a great meet, including having the Indo Fusion team make finals for the first time at Nationals! They had best swims in both prelims and finals, and the coaches are so proud of all their hard work! The 13-15 soloist and 2 duets also had strong swims, and made huge strides with their figure scores. PTX had the awesome opportunity to watch the Senior National Team showcase their team and duet routines, and we are thrilled for the new direction of Team USA! The routines are innovative, fun, and really show how happy the athletes are. After their performance, members of PTX got to meet and greet the team, and gave the Team USA coaches "South Zone Synchro" caps for the athletes. |
