We're making waves

2018-2019 Season

Junior Olympic Championships
July 2019: Tonawanda, NY

Bringing home the hardware! PTX had an AWESOME showing at the Junior Olympic Championships in Tonawanda! Starting with the 12 and unders, the team got the opportunity to pre-swim in finals by placing 13th in the nation. Both 12u duets and solos also had best swims! Next up, our 13-15s came in and finaled in both the duet and team events! The 13-15 soloist ended in 15th place, duet in 10th, and team in 12th. Our fun "Girls" 13-15 combo routine had their best swim ever to end up in 9th place (3 members of the combo had never even been to this level of meet before)! Our 16 and up girls brought their best to this meet, and finaled in every event entered! PTX won GOLD in 16-17 duet and 16-17 team, BRONZE in 16-17 solo and 18-19 duet, and 5th place went to our graduating senior in her 18-19 solo! The Jungle combo also earned a SILVER with a best-ever score! It has been a long time since a Pirouette stood atop the podium, and the team and coaches couldn't be prouder of all the hard work and brilliant performances seen at this meet! Great job PTX!!!

South Zone Championships
March 2019: Clearwater, FL

Our Pirouettes had another strong South Zone meet, and came away with BOTH the 13-15 and Overall High Point awards! The meet began with the 13-15 figure competition, and all 11 athletes rocked their figures! This meet was a first for 5 of our 13-15 athletes, and all showed grace and control under the pressure of a big meet. All 11 girls finished in the top 60 of almost 140 competitors, with 4 placing in the top 10. Great job!
The 3 13-15 soloists had beautiful swims, and all finished in the top 12. The 3 13-15 duets also all finished in the top 12 of 26 entries. The 13-15 team won gold in their event with a strong figure average helping to pull out the win. Gold stars!
Our juniors and senior also had a great meet with strong free and tech swims. All junior soloists and duets finished in the top 10 of their events, and the junior team of 4 finished in 4th place. In the senior category, all PTX soloists and duets finished in the top 10, with a gold in senior solo from our most senior Pirouette, Alisha. The Jungle combo also won gold, with the highest score of all combo events.
Overall, this meet was a very strong start to the season, and we are so proud of defending our Overall High Point title with so many podium finishes and personal bests! Kudos to the 13-15s for also winning high point in their age group!

US 13-15 & Junior National Championships
April 10-14 Riverside, California

PTX had an incredibly successful Nationals! Starting with the juniors, the solo and 2 duets had strong swims and made substantial improvements from last year's Nationals. The junior combo also improved score and placement, ending in 7th overall with a score of 69.6333!

Our 13-15s also had a great meet, including having the Indo Fusion team make finals for the first time at Nationals! They had best swims in both prelims and finals, and the coaches are so proud of all their hard work! The 13-15 soloist and 2 duets also had strong swims, and made huge strides with their figure scores.

PTX had the awesome opportunity to watch the Senior National Team showcase their team and duet routines, and we are thrilled for the new direction of Team USA! The routines are innovative, fun, and really show how happy the athletes are. After their performance, members of PTX got to meet and greet the team, and gave the Team USA coaches "South Zone Synchro" caps for the athletes.

2017-2018 Season

South zone championships
March 2018

Our Junior and 13-15 Pirouettes returned from the South Zone Championships held in Manassas, VA with some well-earned hardware! Coaches Soohee and Cassidy are so proud of all the girls' hard work, and are thrilled to bring both the Junior and the Overall High Point awards back home to Texas!

The PTX junior team won 1st place in both the team and combo events. The Jungle combo especially was a big hit, and the girls received many compliments on the "routine to watch." All 4 junior Pirouette soloists placed in the top 8, and the 3 PTX junior duets also all placed in the top 8.

The 13-15 Pirouettes did a fantastic job as well, especially considering this was the first time competing at South Zones for our athletes. PTX had 2 13-15 solos place in the top 8, 2 duets in the top 8, and the PTX team placed 3rd overall.

PTX had 8 junior and 4 13-15 routines qualify for the US Junior/13-15 Nationals, to be held in April at our home pool in Lewisville (WAC).

US Jr & 13-15 nationals
April 2018

What a treat to host this awesome event! First off, HUGE thank you to all our PTX parents and friends who gave so much time and energy into running such a smooth meet!

PTX had 12 events qualified for this meet, and 3 additional pre-swam. The junior Jungle combo finished 9th with a big score of 68.2! The 13-15 team finished 18th, and the junior team ended up 11th after finals.

PTX's solos and duets did great as well - the 13-15 soloist Manu finished 30th in her first National appearance. The junior soloists finished 19th (Alisha), 26th (Haiden), and 32nd (Enid). As for duets, the 13-15 duets ended up 35th and 36th, and the juniors finished 18th, 20th, and 29th.

It was great to see such talent from around the country come to us, and we will be working hard to move up in placement next year!

WorldWide Invitational March 2018

Our 12u Tango team participated in the first annual World Wide Invitational hosted by the Coral Springs Aquacades in Florida. What an awesome experience for our girls to compete against international teams from all over! 20 clubs and 8 countries were represented at the meet in the novice, intermediate, and 12u levels.

PTX had a second place finish in both 12u figures and solo! The three 12u duets finished 7th, 11th, and 12th, and the Tango team had a strong swim ending in 3rd place.

These girls have been working so hard, and we're so proud of their first appearance of the 2018 season!

Good Morning Texas
April 2018

How fun to have Good Morning Texas come out to the pool to do a story on the upcoming US Junior and 13-15 Nationals hosted by us and Lewisville!
Good Morning Texas Story

PTX makes the 12u National Team!

Our very own Nathalia passed through the final phase of the 12u National Team Trials, and is now on Team USA! She was able to increase her standing from the previous phase by 2 spots. She has been working so hard, and we are all so very proud!

She will train in Las Vegas with the National Team this summer, and then compete at the UANA Pan-American Championships in Riverside, CA.

Regionals
May 2018

PTX made a huge splash at Regionals this year!  Winning the coveted High Point Trophy, PTX was atop of the podium in many events! 16 age group routines will move forward to the Junior Olympic Championships at Miami of Ohio next month.

There were 10 clubs present from around the state of Texas, and it was very exciting to see the talent that our great state has to offer! We have been working hard since US Nationals in April, and it paid off! PTX won gold in many events, ranging from 8 and under novice, all the way up to the 18-19 events.

We are so proud of all our athletes, and wish the 16 routines who are continuing on the best of luck as they prepare for the final meet of the season!
